  3. Frog on the Windshield

It was a hot evening in the summer of 1983. I was staying at my grandma's house for a few days with some cousin in a little one-horsed town. We didn't have a lot of things to entertain ourselves so we had to get pretty creative. While my two cousins and my uncle and I were sitting in the front yard, my uncle had this great idea. He told us to catch a toad for him. Once he had the toad in his hands, we all stood on the curb waiting for... well, we didn't know what we were waiting for until a car passed. Right as it went by, he tossed the toad and it smacked right across the guy's windshield! He drove all the way down the street to the stop sign before he got out to see what it was. Then he drove in reverse all the way back to my grandma's house. That's when we all ran to the backyard, except my cousin Jesse. She stood there like she didn't know what happened. And maybe she didn't know what happened because when the guy yelled at her, she just stood there staring at him with wide eyes. He told her never to do it again and drove off. We had a good laugh that night!

My favorite Bible verse is Titus2:3-5. I can't post my address or blogland weirdos might stalk me. I'll email it to you. Or you can just drop off my prize when you get home.

    Love you!!!
